We are proud to state that today WFF (World Fitness Federation) and WBBF (World Bodybuilding Federation) unite National Organizations and sportsmen representing all Continents with 85 Countries in total.
Different from all other International Bodybuilding and Fitness Federations WFF-International and WBBF-International are officially registered by Law as the International Social Non Profit Sport Organizations.

Today we have no doubts that WFF-International (World Fitness Federation) is the only one officially registered social no profit seeking International Sport Organization World Wide.

There is no doubt that fitness is sport No. 1 in the World. According the statistics today more than three hundred million people attending fitness gyms are connected with regular fitness physical exercises.

The 20-th century was the period when the World was divided in to two parts: capitalist and Communist, in to “East” and “West”. The “Iron Wall” separated both parts giving no possibility to communicate, giving no possibility to exchange the information. Each side knew very little about another.

We know that people used to train their bodies for power, endurance and fitness even in ancient times. But regular competitions started only in the middle of the last century. The first World Bodybuilding Championship (named “Universe”) was organized by NABBA ( National Amateur Body Building Association) in 1948 in London ( UK ).

World Fitness Federation (WFF-International) has celebrated it's second decade of activities. In 2004 WFF will organize the 25-th World Championship in Vilnius (Lithuania).

Organized bodybuilding started in Lithuania in the sixth decade of last century. People liked bodybuilding and the movement spread through the country. Athletes were improving results and began taking part in contests in Lithuania (1965), in Poland (1968).

Competitive sport of bodybuilding started in Europe and America at the same time. Regular competitions started in the thirties of the last century. One of the pioneers of organizing such events was former president of NABBA Mr.OSCAR HEIDENSTAM.
